The NSE is committed to helping students with disabilities receive appropriate modifications when taking any of the National Spanish Examinations.
Students with a documented disability may be eligible for modifications on the National Spanish Examinations as long as:
- The student has documentation on file at school that supports the need for the requested modification.
- The student regularly uses these modifications for tests in the classroom.
The application for student modification should be submitted no later than two weeks prior to administering the NSA.
If the student requires a modification in how the test material is presented to him/her (i.e. visual magnification, Braille, signing / transliteration), please click here for more information on Modifications - Presentation.
If the student requires a modification in how he/she submits answers on the test (i.e. answers need to be dictated to a scribe), please click here for more information on Modifications - Response.
The student requires a modification in the amount of time he/she needs to complete a test, please click here for more information on Modifications - Time.
